The United Taoists Association of the Americas (UTAA) is a nonprofit religious organization registered in the United States, dedicated to preserving, promoting, and transmitting Chinese Taoist culture and the Zhengyi Taoist tradition across North America.
Guided by the principle of balancing cultural transmission with personal cultivation, the Association advances the understanding and application of Taoism in modern society through academic research, spiritual practice, and public education. Its areas of focus include Taoist philosophy, talismanic practices (fu-lu), traditional wellness, meditation, ritual ceremonies, calligraphy and painting, tea culture, as well as the study and translation of classical texts.
In the contemporary context, UTAA presents Taoism not only as a religious system, but also as a form of Eastern life wisdom.
